People.
Not everything with a name above its head wants to eat you. Right-click anyone to talk.
Trading.
Two ways to turn loot into money: a trader who always pays the same, or other players who might pay more.
Traders
Each one stocks its own list — an ammo dealer buys and sells ammo, a medic deals in medicine. Prices are fixed and never haggle.
Auction house
One market shared by the whole server. List an item, pay the fee, and cancel to get it back if nobody bites.
Face to face
/ztrade opens a window with another player where both
sides put up items and money before either can accept.
Your money
/zbalance to check it, /zpay to send some.
Traders and the auction both use the same balance.
Quests.
Quest masters hand out contracts — fetch something, kill something, go somewhere. You can carry five at once, from as many different NPCs as you like.
One gets the compass
Only your priority quest points your compass at its objective. The other four keep tracking quietly.
The journal
Opens from a quest NPC. Click a quest to promote it to priority, shift-click to drop it.
Quest items don't take space
Briefings, documents and keys live in a separate quest inventory. They cannot be dropped, sold or lost on death.
Kill counts track live
A contract for five walkers counts them as they fall, and tells you in chat as it goes.
The mission board.
The board is players hiring players. Post what you need, and let other people compete to be the one who brings it.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| Post a job | Say what you want, then set aside up to seven reward items and a sum of money. |
| Others bid | Anyone browsing the board can submit an offer of up to seven items. |
| You pick | The poster reviews every offer and accepts the one they want. |
| Both collect | The goods and the reward wait in a claim box until each side picks them up. |
Because the reward is put up front, a job on the board is already paid for before anyone takes it.
Arenas.
A wave fight you enter on purpose. Your own gear is stored on the way in and handed back on the way out, so there is nothing to lose but time.
Pick a class
A second NPC hands out the loadout. Assault, heavy, medic or scout — each with its own weapons and bonuses.
Vote the difficulty
Everyone joining votes before the first wave. Harder settings pay more.
Hold out
Waves arrive until the last of you goes down. Kills pay arena points.
Your corpse is yours
Go down inside a session and only you can loot what you dropped — teammates cannot take it.
